ELWELL, Amariah - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Amariah Elwell died at his home near Yeddo, on Jan 27, 1894 Amariah Elwell, aged 72 years 11 days. The funeral services were held at the Centennial Church Jan 29th at 11 a.m. Intermeent at Centennial cemetery. The deceased came with his parents to Mill Creek Township from Union County IN in 1831, and for more than 60 years has lived onthe same farm. He was the father of 9 children, 3 sons and six daughters. Two sons, of whom, Sylvester H. is Auditor of Fountain Co and 5 daughters survive him and all of these except two daughters who reside in Ks were at the funeral. The deceased was one of the best known and most highly respected citizens of the county.
