Sancho Clayton Elmore, 63, a retired farmer died at his home in Crawfordsville Friday night after several months illness of complications. Funeral services were held from Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home in Crawfordsville at 2:30 Monday with burial in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. The deceased is a brother of Lon Elmore of Hillsboro
Born near Alamo, October 29, 1881, Mr. Elmore was the son of Jacob and Mariah Bruner Elmore, early residents of Ripley Township. He was married August 28, 1901 to Ina Jeffries. He was a farmer until forced to retire because of ill health. He was a member of the Providence Church at Beckville
The survivors are a widow and five children: Robert Elmore of California; Ethridge Elmore in the US Navy stationed on the west coast; Omer Dale Elmore of Darlington; Mrs. Neva Love, Darlington and Mrs. Aletha Mitchell of South Bend and 10 grandchildren.
