Kingman – Mrs. “Nattie” Maud Elmore, age 83 of Catlin, Ill, Rt, sister of Mrs. Orpha Jordan of Kingman was found dead at her home Friday morning May 16.  Mrs. Elmore was born Dec 25, 1885 in Indiana the daughter of Henry and Samantha Harrold Shute. She was married to Jesse Elmore in 1905 and he preceded her in death in 1942. A son also preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Edith Elliott of Georgetown Ill; one son, Maurice Elmore of Catlin Rt 1; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Applegate of San Diego, Calif and Mrs. Jordan of Kingman; one brother, Raymond Shute of Waynetown; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Houghton Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ill. The Rev. John Shank and Rev. Terry Schnake officiated. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park north of Danville, Ill. – kbz

CATLIN (CNS) — Mrs. Nettie Maud Elmore, 83, of rural Catlin, Fairview community, was found dead at her home this morning (May 16, 1969). She was born Dec. 25, 1885, in Indiana, the daughter of Henry and Samantha Harrold Shute. She was married to Jesse Elmore in 1905 and he died in 1942. A son also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Edith Elliott of Georgetown; a son, Maurice Elmore of Catlin route one; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Applegate of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Orpha Jordan, of Kingman, Ind.; a brother, Raymond Shute of Waynetown; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist church. The body is at the Houghton Funeral Home in Georgetown. Arrangements are incomplete. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday.  --waw
