Veedersburg—Margaret V. Ellis, 90, Veedersburg, died at 7:58 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 1989 at Wesley Manor in Frankfort.
She was born May 29, 1898 in Covington, the daughter of Harry and Nellie Lacey Voltz. She was married Aug. 2, 1923 to Lloyd E. Ellis, who preceded her in death Feb. 25, 1988.
She was a life resident of Veedersburg and Covington and graduated from Covington High School in 1917.
She was a member of Veedersburg United Methodist Church, Veedersburg Chapter DAR, Friday Study Club and Fountain County Republican Women.
Surviving are a son, Richard, Bloomington, Ill.; two grandchildren, John Ellis of New York and Mrs. Stephen (Sandra) Gothard, Oswego, Ill., and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Parham-Shelby Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Donald Weaver officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg. – thanks to S
