ELLIS, Lawrence Evan - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

HILLSBORO — Lawrence Evan Ellis, 70, native of Hillsboro and an Indianapolis resident the last 50 years, died Monday at his home, 435 S. Rochester, in that city. He was a truck driver and mailman and was employed the last 12 years until his retirement in 1968 at Reilly Power & Chemical Corp. Mr. Ellis was a member of Prairie Chapel Church. Surviving are his wife, Machiona I. Ellis; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Catherine Abrens of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, J. V. Ellis of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Frank Daly of Indianapolis, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Conkle Funeral Home in Speedway, with continued rites at 2 p.m. at Prairie Chapel Church near here. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.  --waw
