ELLIS, Ellora Switzer - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Waynetown - Mrs. Ellora E. Ellis, 77 died at her home here Wednesday evening after a long illness. She was a native of near Elmdale, born April 30, 1963 to James E. and Hannah Ball Switzer. She married Chancie C. Ellis in Crawfordsville Feb 13, 1913. He died in 1965. Mrs. Ellis was a member of Christian Union Church here. She and her husband moved here from Fountain County in 1956. She had been educated in the Wayne Township schools. Surviving are a daughter, Gretchen L. Ellis with whom she lived, three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Schenck of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Lela Barnett of Rt 2 Wayentown and Mrs. Pauline Quillin of Crawfordsville and four brothers, Charles, Clifford and Dallas Switzer of Lafyaette and Orville "Dutch" Switzer of Waynetown. Three brothers are deceased. Funeral rites will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating, assisted by Rev. Kenneth Brock and burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
