ELLIS, Charles "Clifford" - WWII

  Charles C. “Clifford” Ellis of Kingman, age 73, died Wednesday, July 13, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was born at North Salem, June 5, 1910, the son of Monte and Ida Mae O’Rear Ellis. He married Cleo McAlister, who survives. Ellis was owner of Kingman Pioneer Drug store for 18 years and was a former member of the Kingman Town Board. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of Kingman American Legion Post.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Sue Lynne Ellis of Washington, D. C.; two brothers, Merle of Sacramento, California, and Donald of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with Rev. Larry McMillan officiating, assisted by James Lane. Burial was in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. – thanks so much to S
