Hillsboro -- Alva Ellis, prominent Hillsboro farmer died suddenly Tuesday afternoon while sitting in a chair at his home. His death occurred about 4:30 o'clock. Mr. Ellis had been in ill health for a number of years. He was born about 58 years ago and spent his entire life in this vicinity. He was the son of the late James and Sarah Ellis of Hillsboro. He was married to Alma Wright of Rockville, who survives him with two sons, Evan Ellis of Crawfordsville and Verlin Ellis of Hillsboro, and one daughter, Mary Francis Ellis, at home. Two sisters, Mrs. Lincoln Ridge of Guthrie Oklahoma, and Mrs. Fine Pittman of Hillsboro and 3 grandchildren also survive. Mr. Ellis was a member of the Prairie Chapel Church near Hillsboro.
