EAST LYNN (CNS) — Mrs. Bertha Mae Elliott, 69, of Paxton, a former East Lynn resident, died at 9:45 p.m. Monday (April 1, 1974) at Paxton Community Hospital. She had been hospitalized since Friday. Born April 19, 1904, in East Lynn, she was the daughter of Clinton J. and Ella Foley Lynch. She was married June 23, 1923, at Covington, Ind., to Lloyd H. Elliott, who survives. Mrs. Elliott resided in East Lynn in her early years and graduated from Paxton High. She was a life member of the Paxton Parent-Teacher Association and at the time of her death was serving as president of the Ford County Council of PTA. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Paxton and Anti-Can't class. She also was a member of the Prospect Chapter 367 Order of Eastern Star and had been active with the blood bank and the Tuberculosis Association. Other survivors include two sons, Max of Paxton and Richard of St. Joseph; a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Renner of Elkhorn, Wis.; two brothers, Roy Lynch of Rankin and Chester Lynch of Champaign; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Golden of Paxton; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home in Paxton, with the Rev. Eugene Darling officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home after noon today.
