EITNIER, Nellie Davidson - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro - Mrs. Nellie Eitnier, 74, of Hillsboro died early Saturday morning at her home. She had been in failing health about a year. She and her husband had operated the Eitnier Pharmacy at Hillsboro for aobut 20 years. Mrs. Eitnier was a resident of Hillsboro for 57 years and was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church; Christian Women's Fellowship of that church; Fern Chapter 194, Order of Eastern Star; Pythian Sisters and the American Legion Auxiliary unit at Hillsboro. Mrs. Eitnier attended Newtown and Hillsboro schools. She was born near Newtown Feb 22, 1896 to Delbert and Tillie Gardner Davidson. She married Benjamin Eitnier in Dec 1913. He died Aug 13, 1943. Surviving are two sons, Gerald B. Eitnier of Hillsboro and Dr. Samuel H. Eitnier of Danville; a brother, Donald E. Davidson of Crawfordsville, four grandchildren, five step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. today at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating and burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
