EGLY, Ida - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Ida S. Egly of Danville, Illinois, age 92, died Monday night, October 26, in Vermillion Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Geneva, January 3, 1889, the daughter of Jacob and Anna Schindler Schenbeck. August 3, 1912, she married Jesse Egly, who died January 2, 1977. Mrs. Egly was a member of the First Church of God in Danville.

  Survivors include Mrs. Lois York of Covington, Mrs. Harriet Hewitt of Debary, Florida, Mrs. Dorothy Garner of Danville, Illinois, Mrs. Clara Bounds of Orange, California, and Mrs. Marian Zerkle of Anderson; two sons, Glenn J. of Houston, Texas, and Rev. Allan L. Egly of Davenport, Iowa; a brother, Edwin Schenbeck of Bloomington, Illinois; 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

  The body was taken from Pape Memorial Home in Danville to the First Church of God for funeral services Friday morning with Rev. Emmitt Whalen and Steve Stanley officiating. Burial was in the Waldo Cemetery near Gridley, Illinois. – thanks to S
