The many friends of Mrs. Sam Edwards of Cain Twp were pained to learn of her death Sunday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. About 5 weeks ago Mrs. Edwards suffered a parelytic stroke from which she never recovered and had only returned Wednesday from a visit to Oklahoma. She was in Hillsboro Saturday visiting her daughter, Mrs. Duly Frazier, starting for home about 4 o'clock. On the way she felt as she did before the former attack and as soon as she arrived, went into the house and laid down. Her daughter, Mrs. Murray became alarmed and sent for a doctor but before his arrival she was unconscious and lingered until Sunday afternoon when her spirit took its flight. The funral services were held Tuesday at 2 o'clock interment in the Short cemetery. Mrs. Edwards was a most estimable lady and her death is a sad shock. A full obituary will appear next week.
