Danville, Ill.—Michael G. Edwards, 38, Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Danville, died at 12:29 p.m. Friday, May 12, 1989 at the home of his parents.
He was born June 25, 1950 in Danville, the son of Jack and Louella Brown Edwards. He was married Dec. 3, 1983 in Phoenix to Linda Barnes, who survives.
High School in 1968 and served in the Armed Forces in Korea. He worked in maintenance at the V.A. Hospital in Phoenix.
He was a member of the Old Union Church of Christ and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving besides his wife are his parents; a stepson, Shawn, Phoenix; a brother, Gregory, Covington; a sister, Nancy Hicks, Danville; a sister-in-law, Patricia Hamm, Phoenix; a father-in-law, Charles Barnes, Danville, and nieces and nephews, Joshua, Jessica and Jodi Edwards and Tony and Sherrie Hicks.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Funeral Home with Roger James officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery. – thanks to S
