Waynetown Nov 18 *28 - hard to read) - Mrs. Louisa Edwards, 81, a resident of Waynetown for the past 29 years was dead at her home here today having passed away sometime shortly after midnight.
She had been in ill health for the past year with a complication of diseases but did not seem to be any worse health than usual then she retired Friday night. Her husband, EH Edwards awakened at midnight and she was resting comfortably at that time. An hour after he again awakened and discovered she had died. Mrs. Edward was born in Covington on Nov 10, 1855 the daughter of Samuel and Rachel Morris Musselman and she grew to womanhood in Covington teaching school in and near that city for 20 years. On June 2, 1897, she became the wife of EH Edwards and they continued to reside in Covington for several years. They then moved to Mellott and __ years ago took up residence in Waynetown. She was a very active member of the Waynetown Methodist Church after having transferred her membership from the Covington Church. She was also a prominent member of the Order of Eastern Star. Her husband, EH Edwards has gained national mention in historical circles and though the press by virtue of the fact that his life span and that of his father, Ed ? Edwards have been lived under every president of the US. Eli Edwards was born during the second administration of George Washington. Besides the husband, one adopted daughter, Mrs. Susan Ramey of Butler, Ind and one granddaughter Ms Rosemary Ramey survive. The funeral will be held from the Waynetown Methodist Church Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine in charge. Burial will be made in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
