Ora Ebert, 61 years old a farmer who lived two miles north of Veedersburg died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home after being brought home from Lake View Hospital, Danville, Sunday after undergoing an operation on Oct 9. Mr. Ebert was a native of Urbana, Ill where he was born June 19, 1890, the son of Mr. and Mrs. AE Ebert. He was married in 1915 to Daisy Neal who survives with 7 daughters, two sons, two brothers and 16 grandchildren. The family moved here from Urbana 7 years ago. Mr. Ebert was a member of the Urbana Baptist Church. Besides the widow, the survivors include the daughters: Mrs. Lillie McIntyre, Bloomingdale; Mrs. Helen Hatler, Mrs. Dorothy Ostema and Mrs. Mary Boggs all of Urbana; Mrs. Ruth Blackeslee, and Mrs. Esther Thompson both of Crawfordsville; Miss Delores Ebert at home; the sons, Pfc Kenneth Ebert, US Air Force in Texas and Paul at home; and the brothers, Erwin and Earl both of Urbana. Funeral services were held at 2 p.. Thursday at the Fishero Funeral Home with burial in Rockfield Cemetery. – kbz
