COVINGTON — Ella Eberle, 86, of Covington, died at 3:45 a.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. Mrs. Eberle had been a resident of Covington since 1920 and a former resident of Danville and Homer, Ill. She was a member of Covington United Methodist Church, Win-Won Class of the church and Troy Chapter 145 Order of Eastern Star. Born Aug. 5, 1890, in Mill Creek Township, Fountain County, she was a daughter of Erasmus M. and Mary Catherin Tomlinson Cox. She married Roy A. Eberle on Dec. 19, 1911. He died May 10, 1962. Surviving are a sister, Ethel Cox of Akron, Ohio; and nieces and nephews, Ellsworth Cox of Rt. 2, Kingman; the Rev. Harold D. Cox of West Lebanon; Lillian Parent of Danville; Barbara Vorhees of Hillsboro; Robert Cox of South Bend; Helen Bowling of Ervington, Tex.; Frances Womacks of Des Moines, Iowa; Evelyn Harry of Northfield, Ohio; Dorothy Sterling of Gainsburg, Fla.; and two other nieces. Five brothers are deceased. Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Furley officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Ella Eberle, 86, of Covington, died at 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 1976, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been ill several months.
  Born Aug. 5, 1890, in Millcreek Township in Fountain County, she was the daughter of Erasmus M. and Mary Catherine Tomlinson Cox. She was married Dec. 19, 1911 to Roy J. Eberle, who died May 10, 1962.
  Mrs. Eberle had been a resident of Danville and Homer, Ill.
  She was a member of the Covington United Methodist Church, Win-One Class and Troy Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
  Survivors include a sister, Miss Ethel Cox of Akron, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews including Ellsworth Cox of Kingman Route 2, the Rev. Harold D. Cox of West Lebanon and Mrs. Barbara Voorhees of Hillsboro.
  She was preceded in death by five brothers.
