Ina Mavis “Clawson” Earsman, 79, RR 2, Veedersburg, died at 3:45 a.m. Monday, December 26, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois.
Born April 28, 1904 in Liletown, Kentucky, she was the daughter of William Edward and Mary Catherine Robertson Franklin. In 1941 she married Hoy H. Clawson, who died September 17, 1963. On December 2, 1963 she married Raymond James Earsman in Danville, who survives.
She moved to Danville from Kentucky in 1923. She had worked for Hicks Laundry, and Windbreaker and Vermillion County nursing homes. She was a former member of the Women of the Eagles.
Other survivors include two stepsons, Paul H. Clawson of Danville, and Raymond Earsman Jr. of Denver, Colorado; a stepdaughter, Mary V. Jackowski of Danville; a sister, Genevieve F. Clawson of Danville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepson, five brothers and two sisters.
Services were conducted Wednesday at Pape Memorial Home in Danville. Burial was at Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington. – thanks to S
