An Attica man injured in a head-on collision, which killed three other Attica men Friday night is in “serious” condition today in the intensive care unit of Lafayette’s St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center.
Carl L. Jones, 29, 902 Main St., suffered head cuts and a broken right leg. He was the driver of a pickup truck, which collided with another pickup about a mile north of Attica on U.S. 41.
The three who were killed, all employees at Harrison Steel, were Jessie J. Eades, 40, of 1008 Mound St., the driver of the second pickup; William Hensley, 45, Elmdale, and Hillary Hensley, 26, 601 Brady St., passengers in the Eades truck. The Hensleys were brothers and Eades was a brother-in-law.
The collision occurred at about 10 p.m. when the Eades vehicle, northbound on 41, apparently drove left of center and struck the southbound Jones vehicle head-on.
A passenger in the Jones truck, Jon Bower, 3, son of Larry and Pam Bower of West Lebanon, was admitted to Community Hospital for multiple cuts and bruises. He was still in the hospital this morning.
