Claude Eacret of Attica, age 76, died Tuesday morning, June 9, in Community Hospital at Williamsport. He was born at Red Star, Arkansas, November 25, 1904, the son of James S. and Flora Bell Lake Eacret. April 24, 1926, he married Florence Bell, who died December 14, 1964. Eacret was a member of the Attica Veterans of Foreign Wars and had been employed at Harrison Steel Castings Company for several years.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Pearl Hutts and Mrs. Janet Hutts, both of Attica, Mrs. Marilyn Scott of rural West Lebanon, Mrs. Patricia Kirby and Mrs. Catherine Abernathy, both of Lakeland, Florida, and Mrs. Flora Cunningham of RR 2, Williamsport; three sons, Donald Eugene of RR 4, Veedersburg, Arthur of Auburndale, Florida, and Richard of Attica; a sister, Mrs. Florence Campbell of Sarasota, Florida; 34 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Maus Funeral Chapel in Attica with Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Thursday). – thanks to S
