DYE, Ella Frances McKusick

After several months of declining health, Mrs. Ella Frances Dye, 87, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Mildred Cooper, of Hillsboro at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. She has resided with her daughter for the past six years.
She was the daughter of a minister and educator, her parents being Frank and Emily Robinson McKusick and she was born at Olney, Ill. She was married to Dr. G. Rector Dye in 1893 and their early married life was spent at Granville, Ohio, where they both attended Denison University. All of their married life was spent in the ministry of the Baptist Church with Dr. Dye serving a number of churches in the states and they also served on the foreign mission field in Burma.
They were residing in San Diego, Calif., at the time of his death in December 1951, after which she came to Hillsboro to make her home. Surviving beside the daughter, at whose home she died, are one son Philip Dye, of Wellston, Ohio and four grandchildren. One daughter, Miss Florence Dye and one son Rector Dye also preceded her in death.
Funeral services was held at the Hillsboro Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. G. T. Johnson, local pastor officiating, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro with Crumley Funeral Home in charge. - jz
