BLOOMINGDALE - Mrs. Nellie Durman, 80, of Bloomingdale, died at 8:38 p.m. Saturday in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. Mrs. Durman was a member of the First United Methodist, Church at Bloomingdale and its WSCS. She was past matron of Hedges Chapter 51, OES, a member of the Parke County Past Matrons Club and Parke County Senior Citizens Club. Born Oct. 14, 1899, in Sugar Creek Township of Parke County, she was a daughter of Preston and Ora Ratcliff Allee. She married Fred Durman Jan. 19, 1910. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Warren (Gwendolyne) Hinshaw of Marathon Shores, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Marsha Pearson of Winona Lake, Ind., and Mrs. Mary Chapman of Bloomingdale; a granddaughter, Mrs. Donald (Sue) Hardy of Pontiac, Mich., and four grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1950. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Davies-Tudor Funeral Home at Marshall with Rev. Richard Evans officiating. Interment will be in Memory Garden Cemetery at Rockville. Friends may call at the funeral home. Hedges Chapter of OES will have memorial rites at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. today. - jlr
