Lowell W. Duncan, 41, of near Mellott died Sunday (Dec 14, 1969) at a hospital in Lafayette. He had been ill four months. Mr. Duncan was born June 7, 1928, the son of Harvey and Bernice Glover Duncan of Mellott and was married April 17, 1948 at Wingate to Norma C. Thompson. He was a graduate of Richland Township High and was a farmer. Mr. Duncan was a member of the Farm Bureau and the 4-H council. Surviving are the widow and his parents, a daughter, Pam, and two sons, Bill and Jeff at home; a sister, Mrs. Phil Gray of Pennsylvania, and two brothers, Lawrence and Harold of Mellott. Services Tuesday at the Mellott United Church of Christ with Rev. Richard Austin officiating. Burial in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in charge -- kbz

MELLOTT - Lowell W. Duncan, 41, of near Mellott, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in a Lafayette Hospital after an illness of four months. He was born June 7, 1928 near Mellott, a son of Harvey and Bernice Glover Duncan. On April 17, 1948 he was married to Norma C. Thompson. He was graduated from Richland Township High School and was a member of Farm Bureau and the 4-H Council. Survivors include his wife and his parents; three children, Pam, Bill and Jeff, at home; a sister, Mrs. Phil Gray of Pennsylvania; and two brothers, Lawrence and Harold, both of near Mellott. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Mellott United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.
