Veedersburg -- Bernice Duncan, 88 of Rt 3, Veedersburg, died at 3:10 p.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. Mrs. Duncan was a member of Mellott United Church of Christ where she was an active member of the Women's Guild and had taught Sunday School for several years. She was educated in Covington schools. She was born Dec 16, 1902, in Troy Township Fountain County to James and Anna Wolf Glover. She married William Harvey Duncan Sept 6, 1927. He died in July 1988. Surviving are two sons, Lawrence and Harold; a daughter, Mrs. Philip (Lois) Gray; two brothers, Donald Glover and Harlan Glover; 3 sisters, Mrs. Cleo Slazas; Mrs. Louise Schaekel and Mrs. Lucille Goddard; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. A son, Lowell is deceased. Funeral services are schedule for 2 p.m. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. James Campbell and William Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
