Linda S. Dunbar, 55,
of Oxford, died on 4:10 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2001 at her residence.
Born in Washington on October 3, 1945, she was the daughter of Aubert and
Eleanor Myers. A 1963 graduate of Covington High School, she had lived in the
Oxford area since 1984. She was town clerk of Oxford and had been a
receptionist for Arnett Clinic, Lafayette. She married Richard “Dick” Dunbar in
Oxford on June 20, 1992. He survives. She was a member of American Legion
Auxiliary, was an avid bowler and enjoyed Purdue basketball. Also surviving,
are: her mother, Eleanor Myers of Oxford; two daughters, Teresa (Chuck) Loft of
Dayton and Leann (Tim) Meyer of Brookston; three stepdaughters, Amber Dunbar of
West Lafayette, Annette Dunbar of Rantoul, Ill., and Angela (Mike) Stetler of
Pine Village; and two brothers, Larry Myers of Littleton, Colo. and Gary Myers
of Versailles, Ill. She was preceded in death by her father and former husband,
Butch Castanza. Visitation was Sunday at Hahn Funeral Home, Oxford. Service
there on Monday with Pastor John Walls officiating. Interment in Oxford West
