Leon A. Dunbar, 919 E. Madison St., died at 6:30 A.M. Friday, March 11, 1960 in St. Joseph's Hospital in South Bend, Ind., after an illness of five days.
He was born in Stone Bluff, on Jan. 30, 1911, and had lived in South Bend since 1932, coming here from Chicago. On June 28, 1952, in LaPorte he married Marjorie Lamb, who survives. He had been employed at the Bendix Products Division Bendix Aviation Corp., for the last 21 years.
Surviving are his widow; two Step-sons, Frederick Lamb of South Bend and Douglas Lamb of Niles, Mich.; six step-grandchildren and a brother, Forrest L. Dunbar of 1720 E. Wayne St., in South Bend; two aunts of Veedersburg, Mrs. Pearl Sheets and Mrs. Harry Hicks; several cousins and two nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock in the Welsheimer Funeral Home in South Bend. He was the son of Harley and Katie McKinzie Dunbar. - jz
