DUKE, Charles Edward - Lt

Second Lt. Charles Edward Duke, Crawfordsville, died on Wednesday at the U.S. Army Hospital, Fort Benjamen Harrison, Indianapolis.  Lt. Duke, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, became ill with leukemia during June week at the academy.
He was the son of Harold and June Tinsley Duke, and was born August 3, 1937.  He was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, and was engaged to Jean Hargrove, Willard, Ohio.
He is survived by his parents, a brother, James Daniel; a sister, Linda Ann, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Tinsley of Hillsboro, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Duke of Waynetown.
Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at the Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville, with burial in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.  - jz
