Mrs. Sadie Drollinger was burned to d. on Thurs Aug 30 (1951) in the yard at her home on Poland Rd, No. of Danville, Ill where shehad lived 2 1/2 mos. She apparently had d. 24 hour or more earlier, when a granddau. found the body. It was believed she had been burning trash and in some way ignited her clothing. Corner John Cole of Danville investigated and ret. a finding of accidental d eath. Graveside fun rites were conducted at 3 p.m. Fri Rev MS seider in Rockfield Cem. Mrs. D. was the widow of Cade Drollinger who was killed by a Nicel Plate train in V'brg a year ago when his truck was struck at the Second St Crossing. They hadmoved to Vbrg from near Yeddo a number of years ago and starte the Swapper Shop in Sterling. She was b. in Ft. Co. Nov 4, 1883 d/o John W & Jane Collins Hutchins. The body of Mrs. Sadie Marie Drollinger, 67, resident of Danville Rt 3, Poland Road was found in the yard at her home late Thursday afternoon. She had apparently burned to death after her clothes were ignited as she burned trash some time Wednesday. Coroner John Cole was to conduct an inquiry. Graveside rites were conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Rockfield Cemetery east of Veedersburg. The Rev. MS Seidler officiated. The Edmund & Dickson Funeral Home was in charge. The widow of Cade C. Drollinger who was killed when he was struck by a train about a year ago, Mrs. Drollinger had resided here two and one half months. She formerly had made her home in the Veedersburg community. A native of Fountain County, Indiana, she was born November 4, 1883, daughter of John W. and Jane Collins Hutchins. She was a member of Prairie Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Evadna Spandau and Mrs. Oveta Johnson of Danville; six grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Lula Palmer of Yeddo, Indiana.
