ATTICA — Mary Frances (Allen) Drane, 88, formerly of Attica and had been residing in Country Care Nursing Center, Williamsport, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2002 in the center. She was born March 21, 1914 in Warren County, the daughter of John L. and Bertha Jane Foster Allen. She married Morris Drane Feb. 14, 1935 in Henderson, Ky. He preceded in death March 5, 1990. She lived all of her life in Warren County and Attica. She had been a resident of nursing center for three years. She attended the Attica Free Methodist Church. Survivors include: a daughter, Gloria Jean Cross, Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Edith Gross, Attica and Eva Mae Allen, Williamsport; a brother, Earl Allen, Lafayette; five grandchildren, Annette Martin, John Benker, James Benker, Scott Cross and Theresa Sutton; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Charles, Ray and Clyde Allen. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. John Adams officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation. – jlr
