DRAKE, Edward Alvin

Edward Alvin Drake, 61, died at his home in Kingman at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, after a lingering illness. He had been in ill health several years, having suffered a stroke of paralysis.
He was born Oct. 22, 1888 in Jackson County, Ohio, the son of Ephraim and Frances Maxwell Drake. He was married to Miss Edna Jones in 1909 and had been a cabinet maker until he became unable to work.
Surviving are Mrs. Drake; and four children, Mrs. Ida Bush of Kingman, Mrs. Mary Garrison of East Detroit, Mich., Leroy Drake of Kansas City, Mo., Leslie Drake, Kingman; one sister, Mrs. Zora Linganpell of St. Clair, Mich.; two brothers, Loran Drake of Franklin, Mich., and Chauncey Drake of Springfield, Ill. and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Lodi Church with the Rev. Joseph Bush and the Rev. Gordon Monk officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery with the Fishero Funeral Home, Veedersburg, in charge. – S&E
