DOWNS, Marjorie Zeigler

Hillsboro—Marjorie E. Downs, 73, Route 1, Hillsboro, died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 1989 at her home.
She was born Jan. 12, 1916 near Veedersburg, the daughter of Charles and Annie Walter Zeigler. She was married June 16, 1935 to Marvin Downs, who survives.
She was a 1933 graduate of Kingman High School. She and her husband owned Sugar Mill Lake, southeast of Hillsboro. She was a member of Centennial Church, east of Yeddo.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Robert, Jack and Dennis, all of Route 1, Hillsboro; a daughter, Mrs. David (Beverly) VanDorn, Veedersburg; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Bill, in 1973, an infant son and a brother, John of Yeddo.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Rev. Rod Overpeck officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – thanks to S
