DOWNS, Joyce Ellis - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Joyce Downs, 36, of Hillsboro Route 1, died about 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 1977 at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been ill several months.

  Born Aug. 12, 1940, in Edgar County, Ill., she was the daughter of Jonathan and Vera Armstrong Ellis. On July 6, 1957, she was married to Robert C. Downs, who survives.

  She had attended the Hillsboro and Crawfordsville Schools. She attended the Ladoga Nazarene Church.

  Other survivors include three sons, Larry, Dale, and Jay, all at home; a daughter, Cindy Keller at home; her mother of Crawfordsville Route 3; her stepmother, Mrs. Margaret Ellis of Crawfordsville Route 3; a sister, Mrs. Joe (Beverly) Livingston of Tulsa, Okla.; a half brother, Scott Ellis of Crawfordsville Route 3; a half sister, Jona Ellis of Crawfordsville Route 3; and a grandson.

  Services were at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home. The Rev. Wendell Raney officiated and burial was in Wolfe Creek Cemetery near Wallace.
