DOWERS, George W - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

George W. Dowers Jr. of Georgetown, Illinois, age 38, died Tuesday night, December 1, in Burnham City Hospital at Champaign, Illinois. He was born at Georgetown, November 29, 1943, the son of George W. and Mabel Felgenhouer Dowers. A Navy veteran, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Georgetown and had retired on disability from employment with Hyster Company in Danville, Illinois.

  Survivors include his parents; a son, Robert of Danville, Illinois; four sisters, Pauline Urbanski of Danville, Carolyn Neild of Georgetown, Barbara Bann of Westville and Linda Harrier of Covington; and a brother, Richard of Westville.

  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Claude Smith officiating. Military graveside rites and burial were in Georgetown Cemetery. Masonic services were held Friday night at Houghton Funeral Home in Georgetown. – thanks to S
