DOUGLAS, Everett - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Everett H. Douglas of RR 1, Attica, age 86, died Saturday morning, March 7, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Danville, Illinois. He was born at New Market, March 22, 1894, the son of Henry and Alice LaBaw Douglas. In 1919, he married Elva Butts, who died in 1970. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion at Covington.

  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Holt of Attica; five sons, Carl of Covington, Gordon and Donald, both of Veedersburg, Eugene of Stone Bluff and Charles Wayne of Hillsboro; 30 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial was in Osborne Prairie Cemetery.
