DOTSON, Benjamin Allen - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Benjamin Allen Dotson son of Elias and Elizabeth Dotson was b. in Ky, June 16, 1830. While an infant his parents brought him to this state and settled on a part of the farm where he resided all his life, never being off the farm but 3 weeks. He was united in marr to Louisa Bracken Dec 25, 1857 and to this union were b. 11 children: Wm; Mary C; Margaret; Ann, Thomas; Martha; Eliz; Elias; Charles; Etta and Sylvester. Two, Wm H and Mary C have preceded him to the Spirit world. He departed this life AUg 17, 1910 aged 80 years 2 months and 3 days. He was the youngest of 7 ch. all of whom have preceded him. He leaves a wife 9 ch 5 great grandch. besides a number of relatives and a host of friends to mourn their loss. He confessed Christ as his Savior and united with the church 50 years ago and has lived a consistant Christian ever since. "Uncle Ben," as he was called by all who knew him will be greatly missed. While he was of a reserved disposition he took great pride in his home and great interest in his family and leaves a high mark of a noble Christian. The funeral services were conducted by Rev.
