DOOLEY, Clyde

Clyde Dooley, 64, of Hillsboro, died at 4 p.m. Sunday July 14 in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, where he had been a patient since Saturday evening suffering from a heart ailment.
Mr. and Mrs. Dooley had been residents of Terre Haute for a number of years, but moved to this vicinity in May 1957, near the home of their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. John Crowder and family.  He was born Feb. 5, 1893 at English, Ind., the son of William and Frances Dooley.  On November 14, 1920 he was married to Nellie Allen, who survives with one daughter Mrs. Edith Crowder, of Hillsboro.  Other survivors are a brother Louis Dooley, of English; a sister Mrs. James Satterfield, of Columbus, Ind and two grandchildren, Tommy and Amy Crowder.
Mr. Dooley was a Navy veteran of World War I and a member of the Calvary Methodist Church of Terre Haute.
The Rev. G. T. Johnson, of Hillsboro Methodist Church conducted the funeral service held at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 2 p.m. Tuesday, assisted by the Rev. Theodore Grob, of Terre Haute.
Mrs. Mary Lou Priebe presided at the organ and accompanied Mrs. Mabel Brown, who sang, "Home Sweet Home," and "Only Glory By and By."  Pall bearers were: Jesse Scott, Bill Carlson, Hershel Barton, Ed Hertfelder, Harold Harshbarger and Jim Davidson.  Members of the Calvary Methodist Church of Terre Haute served as flower bearers.  Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.  - jz
