Newtown, Ind. - Fern Dodge, 83, of Santa Ana, Calif., formerly of Newtown, died at his homer Sunday morning (Oct 27, 1974) following a long illness. Born Feb 17, 1891, near Newtown, he was the son of Oliver C. and Lou Emma Dodge. He was married in 1928 to Gladys Wyman, who survives. He was a graduate of Newtown High and attended Wabash College at Crawfordsville. He was employed at the Allison Plant in Santa Ana for over 30 years. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Beryl) Spear of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Wayne (Barbara Dean) Davis of Attica; the sons, Don of Long Beach, Calif., and Wyman and Oliver, both of Santa Ana; a sister Mrs Ben Martin of Newtown; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two wives and two infant daughters. Burial will be in Tuscin Cemetery at Santa Ana Tuesday morning. - kbz
