KINGMAN, Ind. (CNS) -- Clarence Dodge, 73, of Kingman Route 1 near Yeddo, died at 4 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 14, 1976) at Lakeview Medical Center. He had been a patient four days. Mr. Dodge was a retired Oakwood, Ill., Township highway commissioner and a former resident of the community. He had resided in the Cayuga-Kingman areas for the past 13 years. Born Oct. 5, 1903, in St. Joseph, he was the son of Samuel and Laura Brittenham Dodge. He was married to Opal Musson, who preceded him in death. He was married in 1963 to Freida Scott, who survives. Mr. Dodge was an active member of the Cayuga Church of the Nazarene. Other survivors include a son, Sherman of Danville; four daughters, Mrs. Shirley Meeks and Mrs. Carol Hearnley, both of Danville, Mrs. Evelyn Layton of Evansville, Ill., and Mrs. Gerilyn Maida of Tampa, Fla.; three step sons, William Dodge of Champaign, Frank Dodge of Marshfield and Richard Dodge of Bement; three step daughters, Mrs. Helen Raley of Modesto, Calif., Mrs. Maryellen Gomperts and Mrs. Anna Mae Grimes, both of Urbana; and 45 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry; three brothers and four sisters. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. EST Wednesday at the Cayuga Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. R. W. Foreman and the Rev. Mr. Maham will officiate. Burial will be in Stearns Cemetery near Muncie, Ill. Friends will be received at the Malcolm DeVerter Funeral Home on Cayuga after 4 p.m. EST Tuesday. --waw
