DOBBS, Madeline

Madeline L. Dobbs of RR 3, Veedersburg, age 62, died Friday morning, June 11, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. She was born in Wabash Township, Fountain County, June 18, 1919, the daughter of George and Ola Allen Woodrow. June 9, 1937, she married Rev. Alfred Dobbs, who survives. Mrs. Dobbs was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Also surviving are a son, George of Crawfordsville; her mother, Ola Simmons of Kingman; two sisters, Thelma West of RR 1, Kingman and Alta North of Carbondale, Illinois; and two granddaughters, Tonya and Brittyne Dobbs of Crawfordsville.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Eastwood officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg. Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington was assisted with arrangements by Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman. – thanks to S
