DOBBS, Doyne

Source: Attica-Fountain-Warren-Democrat 16 Nov 1922 p 1

Doyne Dobbs, aged 2 little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dobbs of Veedersburg was fatally burned Sunday about noon when she, her twin sister, Vivian and her two small brothers, George and Raymond were trapped in a small outbuilding at the Dobbs home. The child died Sunday night at 9:45 o’clock. The four children were playing in the back yard at the Dobbs home and went into the small outbuilding or shed. George threw a lighted match into a barrel containing some paper and the flames at once shot from the barrel and spread to the other parts of the shed.  During the stampede the door became wedged fast and the children were penned on the inside. Doyne and Vivian were burned the most severely but the other two suffered painful burns. The cries of  the children attracted their parents and they were freed from the shed. The upper portion of the bodies of Doyne and Vivian were burned to a crisp, resulting fatally to the former.  It is thought Vivian will recover.  George and Raymond were not so badly burned.
