DOBBLES, John Francis - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

John Francis Dobbles, age 58 of Attica died at his home at 4:30 p.m. Friday April 14.  Mr. Dobbles was born in Warren County Jan 10, 1909 the son of Joseph Francis and Louise E. Coekenberg Dobbles. He was married at Covington July 10, 1937 to Helen Margaret DeLaney who survives.  He was a life resident of Attica.  He had been employed at Harrison Steel Castings Co as a coremaker for 40 years. During the past 7 years he was engineer in the engine room.  He retired last August.  Mr Dobbles had been in ill health for the past eight years. He was a member of St. Xavier Church of Attica and Eagles Lodge. Surviving in addition to the wife are four brothers, Ed of Lapine, Ore; Charles of DeSoto; Frank of Highland and Arthur of Berwyn, Ill and two sisters, Mrs. Meary Meador of Attica and Mrs. Bertha Allen of Berwyn, Ill.  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Church. The Rev. Charles Remaklus officiated and burial with the DeSutter Funeral Home of Attica in charge was in St. Francis Cemetery. – kbz
