COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) — Dale Dixon, 57, of Covington Route 2, died at 7 a.m. today (Sept. 2, 1976) at his home. He had been ill 18 months. Born Jan. 8, 1919, in Warren County, he was the son of Ival Forrest and Hester Ellen McPherson Dixon. On June 16, 1938, he married Grace Cravens, who survives. A resident of the Foster community most of his life, he was a former resident of Gary. He was a welder in the maintenance department at Bohn Aluminum in Danville, Ill., for 15 years. He retired in April of 1975 due to ill health. He was a member of the Christian Church in Gary. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James (Judith Ann) Nicholas of Monroe, Wis. and Mrs. Ray (Winifred Elaine) Allhands of Westville, Ill.; two sons, Dennis Dale of Georgetown, Ill. and Gregory Dean at home; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, with the Rev. J.T. Myers officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Friday. --waw
