COVINGTON -- Mrs. Bessie Maude Dickinson, 97, of 601 Pearl St., Covington, died at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday in Covington Manor Health Center where she had been a patient since July 10. She was a member of the Covington Royal Neighbors of America and the B&PW Club. She was also a member of the Covington United Methodist Church. Born Oct. 1, 1878, at Ottowa, Ill., she was a daughter of Charles and Augusta Jones Wisher. She married Samuel U. Dickinson in 1904. He died in 1942. Surviving are a son, Robert D. of Covington; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Randolph of Covington and Mrs. Marjorie Kaufman of St. Helena, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Garnet Rowe of Sidel, Ill.; a stepson, Horace Dickinson of Decatur, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in DeVerter Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. - waw

  Covington, Ind.—Mrs. Bessie “Maude” Dickinson, 97, of 601 Pearl, died at 5:20 a.m. October 1, 1975, at the Covington Manor Health Center. She had been a patient since July. She had been in ill health since April.
  Mrs. Dickinson was well known in the Covington area. She was the aunt of U. S. Representative John T. Myers (R-Covington).
  Born Oct. 1, 1878 at Ottawa, Ill., she was the daughter of Charles and Augusta Jones Wisher. On Oct. 12, 1904, at Decatur, Ill., she was married to Samuel Dickinson, who died in 1942.
  She was a member of the United Methodist in Covington, the Royal Neighbors of America and Professional Women’s Club of Covington.
  Survivors include a son, Robert D. of Covington, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Randolph of Covington, and Mrs. Marjorie Kaufman of St. Helena Calif.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Garnet Rowe of Sidell, Ill.; a stepson, Horace Dickinson of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
  She was preceded in death by a daughter and a stepdaughter.
  Services were held at 2 p.m. October 3, 1975, at the DeVerter Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. -s
