Veedersburg – Funeral services for Frank Dickey, 83, pioneer resident of Veedersburg who died Thursday were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the United Brethren Church with Rev. JC Shritley officiating. Interment was in Bonebrake cemetery with Fishero Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Dickey died at the home of his son, Clarence with whom he had lived the past few months. He was born June 8, 1863 near here son of Martin and Sarah Sines Dickey. He was married to Lizzie Smith Nov 1, 1894 and she preceded him in death in January 1946. For many years he was employed at the local brick plant and was caretaker of the United Brethren Church until forced to retire because of ill health. Surviving besides the son are three granddaughters and three great grandsons. – kbz
