DICE, Ruth - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Miss Ruth Dice, a life resident of the Veedersburg community died at the Lake View Hospital in Danville Monday night about 7:30 after suffering a stroke some time Saturday. Miss Dice and her mother, Mrs. Susie Dice lived together at their home in Veedersburg and neighbors became suspicious Saturday night that something was wrong when the door of their home was left open.  Investigation found Miss Dice unconscious on the davenport. Both Miss Dice and her mother were taken to the hospital after being attended by Dr. CB McCord. She was born on a farm near Veedersburg Oct 28, 1889, the daughter of William and Susie Wilson Dice. She attended the Sterling schools and was much interested in music in her younger days. She was a member of the Veedersburg EUB Church. Surviving is the mother, Mrs. Susie Dice and several cousins. Funeral services were Thursday afternoon at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg. – kbz
