DICE, Frances Booe - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSRURG — Frances M. Dice, 99, 405 N. Newlin St., Veedersburg, died at 7:04 p.m. Aug. 14, 1999 in her residence. Born Jun. 29, 1900, in Paducah, Ky., she was the daughter of Franklin B. May and Margaret B. Booe. She married Robert H. Dice Oct. 11, 1942. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1962. She was a 1919 graduate of Veedersburg High School, and a member of the First Christian Church, where she was choir director. She was the librarian at the Veedersburg Library for 22 years, retiring in 1987. Survivors include: daughter, Margaret “Peg” (Donald) Strawser, Indianapolis; and step-grandson, Robert G. (Shelagh) Dice, Guelph, Ontario. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Veedersburg First Christian Church with Rev. Rusty Albertson officiating. Burial followed in the Bonebrake Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Veedersburg First Christian Church. – jlr
