COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) - Miss Clara V. Dewlen, 85, a life resident of the Covington area, died at 2 p.m. Monday (Nov. 15, 1971) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She had been a patient for six weeks and had been ill for some time being seriously ill the past three weeks. Born April 17, 1886, in the Salem neighborhood, she was the daughter of James and Matilda Ziggler Dewlen. She had been employed at the Herzog Co. in Covington for many years and also at the David Plaut Co. in Goshen. She was a member of the Covington United Methodist Church and was a charter member of the Win One class and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Phyllis McCord of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Mary Knowles of Newtown and Miss Francis Dewlen of Covington. She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Services will be at 3 p.m. EST Wednesday at the Hegg Funeral Home, with the Rev. P. J. Hamilton, assisted by the Rev. Robert Miller, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday. --waw
