Attica – John L. DeSutter, 76, retired farmer on Rt 2, died in the Small Nursing Homer at Waynetown at 9:30 a.m. Friday after an illness of several months. Born near Attica, he was married in 1912 to Carrie Smith of Attica who died in 1954.  He retired from farming that year. Mr. DeSutter was a member of St. Francix Xavier Catholic Church. Surviving are a son, Ed of near Attica; a daughter, Mrs. Wendell Talbott of near Lafayette; five brothers, Raymond, Attica funeral director and Francis, Lawrence and Paul also of Attica and Charles of Whiting and two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Nelson of Lafayette and Sister Ann Celeste of St. Mary of the Woods, Terre Haute. - kbz
