Terrance Derrington, 35, died suddenly here this afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Flora Haxton. Death was caused by a heart attack.  Mr. Derrington was in apparent good health this morning. He was employed by the International Rail Welding Corp of Chicago but during the slack season, he and his family made their home here with Mrs. Haxton.  Mr. Derrington served 7 years in the US Army and during the WW was stationed in Siberia and the Phillipines. He held the rank of 1st Class Sergeant. Born Nov 16, 1900 in Herrington, Kansas he was the son of Charles and Victoria Derrington and married Miss Frances Royal Aug 17, 1929. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Herrington and of the American Legion at Veedersburg. Surviving besides his wife are his mother, Mrs. Victoria Campbell of California; two daughters: Victoria and Claudia, at home; a son Charles Terrance at home and a brother, Jack Derrington of Topeka, Kan.  A military funeral will be held but plans will not be completed until word is received from Mr. Derrington’s mother.

Mellott, Feb 6 – Funeral services for Terrance A. Derrington will be conducted from the Christian-Congregational Church with Rev. GA Watkins, pastor officiating; interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.
