DELP, Myrth - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Myrth Delp of RR 1, Marshall, age 77, died Wednesday evening, August 26, in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. She was born in the Grange Corner community, September 24, 1893, the daughter of Sidney and Lizzie Nickell. May 3, 1921, she married Hubert Delp, who died July 30, 1977. Mrs. Delp was a member of Wolf Creek Community Church, Wallace OES and was a charter member of Sugar Creek Home Demonstration Club. She was a 1921 graduate of Wallace High School.

 Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothea Crowder of Veedersburg and Mrs. Judy Ellen Knox of Venice, Florida; two sons, Donald and Bobby, both of Grange Corner; a sister, Mrs. Vida Mitchell of Wallace; a brother, Von Nickell of Marshall; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Wolf Creek Church with Rev. Lester Niles officiating. Burial was in Wolf Creek Cemetery. OES rites were conducted by the Wallace Chapter at Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown, Friday afternoon. – thanks to S
