A rural Veedersburg man died at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill. shortly after admittance there, following a one car accident on Fountain County Road 50W, northwest of Veedersburg. The accident occurred at 1:22 a.m. Sunday, July 30.
  Kevin J. Delp, 19, of Route 3, Veedersburg, died at the hospital after the car he was driving hit a tree. A passenger, Marta Kay Hanson, of 513 Newlin, Veedersburg, was also taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital where she was reported in satisfactory condition Monday morning. She received head injuries in the accident.
  The car received $2,000 damage.
  An investigation is pending by the Fountain County Sheriff’s Department.
  An Attica High School social studies teacher was found dead in his garage Wednesday morning, the victim of carbon monoxide poisoning. – s

  Kevin Joe Delp, 19, of Route 3, Veedersburg, died at 2 a.m. Sunday, July 30, 1978 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill., as the result of a one car accident northwest of Veedersburg.
  He was born on May 5, 1959 at Danville, Ill., the son of Troy E. and Vivian Crumly Delp. They survive.
  Also surviving are two brothers, Eugene W. Delp of Rt. 2, Covington and Durwin L. Delp of Route 4, Veedersburg; his grandparents, Ward and Ibbie Crumly of Hillsboro; two nieces and two nephews and several aunts and uncles.
  He was a 1977 graduate of Fountain Central High School. He was All-Conference and Class A All-State in football. He was All-Conference in track, and played varsity basketball two years and was a member of Letterman Club. He was employed as a coating operator at Olin Corporation, Covington. – thanks to S
